Week 8

8/09/2025 (Monday).

I reached the school at the usual time after the 10-day vacation. The children had resumed their classes, and we, the teacher trainees, also stayed back to continue our routine. As it was Monday, I did not have any teaching hours assigned for the day. There were no special programs conducted in the school, so I used the quiet time to prepare my lesson plans and organize my work for the upcoming classes.

The day was calm and productive, allowing me to focus on planning and reflection. Preparing the lesson plan not only helped me structure my thoughts for future teaching but also emphasized the importance of time management and organization. Using the available time wisely made me feel confident and ready for the week ahead. Overall, it was a smooth and fulfilling day, dedicated to preparation and thoughtful reflection.

9/09/2025 (Tuesday)

I had two classes scheduled according to the timetable — the 4th period and the 6th period. During the 4th period, the class teacher distributed the examination answer sheets, and I engaged the students with some simple problems to maintain their focus and involvement.

In the 6th period, I introduced a new chapter: Solutions of Equations, specifically the topic Adding and Subtracting. To begin, I included some very simple questions that students could answer mentally. The students responded actively and gave correct answers, which helped create a positive and engaging learning atmosphere before moving into the main content.

10/09/2025 (Wednesday)

My scheduled teaching hour was the 3rd period, during which I taught Multiplication and Division. I selected four questions for the class, and the students were very active and enthusiastic, solving the problems quickly and accurately. I encouraged them to come forward and solve the problems on the board, making the session interactive and lively.

Apart from the academic session, the day was also marked by the Teacher’s Day celebration. A special assembly was conducted where the Headmaster delivered a meaningful message on the significance of Teacher’s Day and the value of teachers in shaping lives. As a token of respect and love, students greeted all the teachers with roses, creating a warm and appreciative atmosphere.

As part of the celebrations, the Class 10 students conducted a class for Class 8 and Class 9 students, taking on the role of teachers for the day. The activity was both engaging and educational, allowing students to experience teaching from a different perspective. The program also recognized the teachers who are retiring at the end of this academic year, honoring their dedication and service.

Overall, it was a fruitful and memorable day, as the students not only participated actively in the lesson but also engaged wholeheartedly in the Teacher’s Day activities. The combination of teaching and celebration created a positive, energetic, and reflective atmosphere.

11/09/2025 (Thursday).

I conducted my scheduled class and taught the topic Different Kinds of Change. For the lesson, I included three problems. The first problem was solved on the board to demonstrate the method clearly, while the next two problems were attempted individually by the students.

The students participated actively and showed a keen interest in understanding the topic. They were able to attempt the problems confidently, and I clarified their doubts whenever needed. The class was productive and engaging, with students demonstrating both enthusiasm and understanding.

There were no special events conducted in the school today, which allowed for a calm and focused teaching session. Overall, it was a satisfying day, and I felt accomplished seeing the students grasp the concepts effectively.

12/09/2025 ( friday)

I reached the school at 8.45 a.m. and signed in as usual. My scheduled class for the day was during the sixth period. In this period, I continued with the lesson on Different Kinds of Change. To begin the session, I revised the previous concepts briefly to refresh the students’ memory. After that, I solved two problems on the board step by step, so that the students could clearly follow the method of solution.

For the third question, which consisted of four subparts, I planned a group activity to make the class more interactive. I divided the students into four groups and assigned one subpart to each group. The groups discussed among themselves, worked out the problems, and then a representative from each group came forward to write their answers on the board. This approach gave all the students an opportunity to participate actively. The group work encouraged teamwork, peer learning, and sharing of ideas. It also helped in maintaining the interest of the class and kept them engaged till the end of the lesson.

There were no special events held at the school on this day. The routine of the day went smoothly, and after completing my duties, I left the school by 3.45 p.m.

Overall, the day was productive as the students actively participated in the learning process and showed good involvement in group activities.
