ONAM CELEBRATION

 Onam Celebration at Karmela  Rani Training College – 27th August 2025


Today was a very special day at Karmela  Rani Training College, as the college celebrated Onam with great enthusiasm and cultural vibrancy. The program began with warm wishes from the college authorities, followed by a guest who extended heartfelt Onam greetings and shared an inspiring message for everyone. The atmosphere instantly felt festive and cheerful.




All the students came together to prepare a floral carpet (athapookalam) in front of the college. The colourful arrangement of flowers, combined with other natural decorations, gave the campus an aesthetic and vibrant touch. The visual appeal of the decoration instantly uplifted everyone’s mood and created a perfect setting for the celebrations.




The cultural programs began with group song performances from different houses, followed by Thiruvathirakkali dances presented by three houses. Each performance added energy, rhythm, and cultural richness to the celebration. Watching everyone perform together in traditional attire was both lively and inspiring.






In the afternoon, the college hosted Onam Sadya, which was followed by various Onakalikal (traditional Onam games and competitions) in the evening session. The competitions were exciting, and the winners received attractive prizes, adding a sense of joy and accomplishment to the festivities.





The celebration concluded with a grand Vadamili and a dance performance involving all students and staff in the college ground. The combination of music, dance, games, and decoration made the entire program colourful, engaging, and memorable. Overall, it was a joyous and lively celebration that reflected the cultural spirit of Onam perfectly.

15/09/2025.(Monday)  It was a bright and lively day at the school. Being a Monday, I reached the school on time. I had no regular class scheduled for the day. The UP section had their Sports Day, and the whole campus was filled with excitement and energy. The sports day began by an inauguration ceremony and flag hoisting by the guest. There was a march past conducted by students from NCC, JRC, SPC etc. During the third period, I got a substitution in Class 8 F, where I managed the class and ensured discipline was maintained. We, the teachers, were not assigned any specific duties for conducting the sports activities. This gave me the chance to observe the students as they participated enthusiastically in different events. The program was lively and well-organized, and it created a cheerful environment throughout the school.  The week was filled with new beginnings, valuable feedback, unexpected challenges, and meaningful learning experiences. Each day brought something different, reminding me how dynamic a teacher’s journey can be. Here's a reflective summary of my week: Monday – 4th August 2025 There were no teaching periods scheduled for me today. I stayed in my allotted class and used the time to stay updated with my preparation and observations. Though I didn’t teach, it gave me a calm start to the week and space to get mentally ready for the lessons ahead. Tuesday – 5th August 2025 Today I had two classes and introduced a new chapter – Polygons. I used the Concept Attainment Model, which turned out to be both effective and engaging.
